All undergraduate, graduate and DFC ceremonies will be held in the Anderson Athletic & Recreation Complex (AARC).

Saturday, May 24, 2025 – All Undergraduate Ceremonies
- 9:00 am = Undergraduate Ceremony for Opus College of Business
- 12:30 pm = Undergraduate Ceremony for College of Arts & Sciences

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Graduation is the completion of all coursework and degree requirements (and processing of final grades), after which a student is officially awarded a degree. Commencement is a ceremony (held in May each year) to celebrate our graduates, but it is not the same as graduation.
You can review your degree evaluation at any time online or with your advisor. Undergraduate students will receive notification from the Office of Student Data & Registrar when they are eligible to graduate. Graduate students will receive notification from their program when they are eligible to graduate.
All students who are eligible to participate in the ceremony will receive an email with information on how to RSVP via .
Yes – students who are eligible to participate in the commencement ceremony must RSVP via no later than April 4, 2025. Your RSVP will include providing information for ordering your regalia (cap, gown, etc).
Commencement regalia is provided at no cost to our graduates but they must register by April 4 to be guaranteed the size they order. Graduates must also RSVP online in order to receive their guest tickets.
Undergraduates - Saturday May 24, 2025
- Undergraduates should pick up their reader card (name card) on Friday, May 23rd from 1:00pm -3:30pm on the ASC Plaza
- Doors will open one hour before the start of each ceremony.
- Graduates will enter the AARC via the doors on the west side (facing the football field).
- Graduates who picked up their name reader card on May 23rd should report to the field house no later than 30 minutes prior to the start of their ceremony. If graduates still need to pick up their reader card, graduates should report to the check-in area in the AARC Arena no later than one hour prior to the start of the ceremony.
- All guests will enter the main doors facing the lower quad and ASC Plaza
Graduates - Sunday, May 25, 2025
- Please remember to pick up your regalia. If you are not able to pick it up before the end of the day on Thursday, May 22nd it will be available in the AARC Arena the day of your commencement ceremony.
- Doors will open one hour before the start of each ceremony.
- Graduates will enter the via the doors on the west side (facing the football field).
- Graduates should report to the check-in area in the AARC Arena no later than 45 minutes prior to the start of the ceremony to pick up their reader name card.
All guests will enter the main AARC doors facing the lower quad and ASC Plaza.

Undergraduate Students
Must order by April 4, 2025 to ensure receiving size ordered and available at Grad Fest on May 2nd for pick up.
If graduates do not pick up their cap and gown at Grad Fest, information will be available on when they can pick it up at the .
Graduate Students
All doctoral candidates must RSVP by March 17, 2025 to ensure their doctoral regalia will arrive in time for commencement.
All graduates will receive an email when regalia is available for pick-up. Students can request to have regalia mailed to them for a charge.
Yes. Sign language interpreters will be located by the stage. For other accommodation needs please contact disabilityresources@stthomas.edu.
Only graduating students may walk in the processional or be seated in the graduate seating area. Family members must be seated in the guest seating with a ticket.
In addition to reasonable accommodation requests, exceptions may be considered in rare circumstances. Graduating students may request an exception through the Dean of their academic college/school.
An accessibility accommodation for a graduating student should be requested through Disability Resources (please see more information here). All requests must be submitted no later than May 1st, 2025.
